My Top 10 Favourite things to do while Running

Image
SO . Like everyone else in the world... I. Am. Addicted to Pintrest.  On my last venture through the pinning world I recently pinned a run calendar that had a few fun ideas to make my running more interesting and challenging called:   30-Day Running Challenge: 30 Ways to #RunForFun With yesterdays weather being as beautiful as it was, and my legs being in desperate need of some sunshine, I seized my opportunity and took some time for myself to run. It had been a couple of days since I last ran, I've been a tad lazy... probably because I had been bored with my previous running. So I decided to give some of these "ideas" a try. Super Duper Fun thing to do when Running #1: Sing Out Loud This was not on the list, but is my top number 1 fun thing to do... always actually. I didn't think I'd be able to do it while running, you know getting out of breath and all, but it actually made the run that more challenging. Trying to control my breathing, pace, and

Beards, Beards, Beards

Now a days everybody and their grandmas is growing a beard. (Sorry Grammy! But you get what I mean.) Some beards are for pleasure, some are for vanity, and some are for a bet you lost when you told the guys you could get the cute bar tenders phone number. Sentence? Beard of Shame. Now if you are able to grow a beard, yes that's right, not everyone can, there are roughly 10 stages described by the internet, these stages are: Pubescent (meaning no beard), Clean shaven (Obvious), 1 O'clock shadow, 5 O'clock shadow, Light stubble, Medium stubble, Aggressive stubble (When your beard is growing with force), Pre-Beard, Light Beard, Beard... and Sasquatch. (There is no Sasquatch, Chuck Norris just forgets to trim his beard.) You've seen these beards grown and displayed proudly among our hockey players, remaining loyal to tradition these past playoffs. Some of these beards get a little unruly... but they inspire fans every where to grow their beards and for sites like beardath

I Work Out in Public

I work out, in public places. I work out, in public space. I work out, to public faces. I work out, in public. T o your regular gym addict, working out in public is a breeze. Sometimes even a must. But to those of us, (myself to be exact) who have been out of the workout loop due to work and other things, working out in public can be a dreary task. So I searched for another way. Sunday afternoon on May 30th 2015, I had the sudden urge to run. I've never ran before in my life, not in school, not for sports, not for anything. (No not even for my life. Knock on wood!) But that Sunday, I wanted to do it. I wanted to run. It was raining, which in my opinion was a good thing because I didn't want to be seen.  If you have ever seen those funny GIF's where they show how a person thinks they're running compared to how they're actually running... well, I'm that person. So I piled on the clothes, (it was still a bit chilly in May) tied my running shoes tight, and

Inside Out!

I have just truly enjoyed a slice of Disney Pixars newest classic I n s i d e O u t !! For 1 hour and 34 minutes, I have frolicked with all the emotions my body has to offer, I have laughed, cried, was angry and scared at times, but I truly was moved by this picture in the best way possible. Without giving away any spoilers, this movie follows the life of a young girl giving you, the viewer, an inside scoop on what's actually going on inside her head. But we don't sit around and examine the emotion's, instead we are taken on a journey that sparks our i m a g i n a t i o n and creativity through wild and adventurous thoughts that truly make this picture worth seeing!  The film takes you from birth right up  until the early stages of life, and hits on key points that are not only important for an adolescent to learn, but also for adults to revisit. With pokes of fun and joy , this movie allows a great lesson to be heard. I personally learned a great life lesson, that a

Bad Habits

Hey guys! So it seems that nobody really prepares you for how busy life can actually get. I've been trying to set time aside so I can continue my blogging as well as work on some of the short stories I am desperately trying to finish so I can start the publishing process. It's crazy how quickly time flies, it felt like just yesterday I was sitting down to get this blog up and going and now it's been 2 months since my last post! I have been terribly busy! However, I've taken up running daily so that consumes most of my time after the work day, then weekends with friends which as you can imagine fills up so incredibly fast. I'm also working on getting my youtube channel up and going, it's pretty difficult to find the time to get everything done without just locking myself in a room alone for a week or two! Either way, today I was thinking about how much time has slipped through my fingers, and I was trying to think if I had spent that time right. I look back on

A little about me.

I specialize in researching and documenting, more so I put my talents to use in the legal world eagerly trying to find where I fit in, but never really did enjoy it as much as I figured I would. Now I use those skills in a less glorified way working in an office environment dealing directly with lumber. Again, not my passion. However, this job causes me quite a bit of stress which has turned me to do something I do enjoy, and always have enjoyed... writing!!  So I have decided to allow myself a blog to vent and say the things my mind dwells on while I am trapped silently in man's world. My apologies in advance if I go a little too far sometimes... this is essentially my first blog. Still testing out the waters.  What will you expect from my blog? Well, at this point just about anything that comes to mind that I think you (my lovely readers) will enjoy, find interesting, or just plain laugh at. (I love anything funny!) This blog is after all about being fun, happy and well Yo
